Del Webb Lakewood Ranch is a village specially designed for adults looking to enjoy their golden years. This age-restricted neighborhood was developed by a subdivision of the Pulte Group, a respected home builder that has completed residential projects across the United States.
Located in a quiet section of Lakewood Ranch, Del Webb is an ideal community for active seniors interested in a mix of relaxation, luxury, comfort, and amenities. What sets this village apart from the rest in Lakewood Ranch is that the lives of residents are augmented by the thoughtful coordination of activities by their very own lifestyle director. According to the October 2017 community newsletter, for example, residents could enjoy early bird walking groups, Mahjonng tournaments, bingo games, euchre sessions, social singles meetings, bike rides, quilting, tennis, and even a Halloween party.
Home buyers can choose from attached villas and single-family residences at Del Webb. The architectural style is mostly Mediterranean, and many of the floor plans are ideal for entertaining and inviting guests to stay overnight. The largest home model is the Infinity, which can feature up to five bedrooms with three full bathrooms. Prices start at $315K for the two-bedroom villas to $500K and more for homes larger than 2,000 square feet.
As of late 2017, Del Webb at Lakewood Ranch was attracting lots of attention from prospective buyers due to the extensive resort-style amenities. The swimming pool features a splash bar and a clubhouse next to a spa and fitness center. There's a fire pit near the outdoor grilling area and even a café with reading room and access to a Wi-Fi network.
Some of the favorite group activities at Del Webb include shopping trips to St. Armands Circle and to Siesta Key Beach. Closer to home, the Gateway shopping center has a large Publix supermarket with pharmacy plus various stores for added convenience.
