Located just northwest of the University Park district of southern Manatee County, Barrington Ridge in Bradenton is an established neighborhood where residents enjoy amenities and high quality of life at very reasonable prices. The 313 single-family homes in this community were completed around 2005, a few years before the real estate downturn, but they have managed to regain their values thanks to various factors.
Barrington Ridge is a great choice if you are looking for a place that is close to both Bradenton and Sarasota, particularly if you want to raise a family. Even the smaller properties offer plenty of living space because the floor plans start at more than 2,000 square feet, but they are even more attractive when you factor in their quality construction and prices in 2020.
A three-bedroom home with two full bathrooms, a covered lanai, and nice views of a small nature preserve was listed for less than $320K in February 2020; this is a bargain when considering that the Mall at University Town Center is just 10 minutes away. A five-bedroom estate with four bathrooms and 3,270 square feet under air conditioning was listed under $415K.
Neighborhood amenities at Barrington Ridge include a swimming pool, a clubhouse, and a playground. Homeowners association fees are much lower than you would normally expect living so close to University Park, and other benefits include having the Lockwood Commons shopping center within walking distance; this is where you will find a CVS Pharmacy and a Publix supermarket. If you want to save a few dollars on groceries, you will also find an Aldi supermarket a few blocks away from the main entrance.
For even more shopping and entertainment, driving south to the Mall at UTC will not you long at all, and you can choose between the beaches of Manatee County, Longboat Key, and Siesta Key, which are all close enough to enjoy every weekend. Another attraction located very close to the community is the John Marble Park, where you can find athletic fields, tennis courts, a large playground, and a picnic area.
