Seasoned real estate professionals familiar with the Sarasota County housing market will tell you that some of the best deals you can find are located in southern communities such as Englewood. This sleepy beach town is close enough to Charlotte County to be considered part of the Punta Gorda metropolitan area, and it has always been a great place to live thanks to neighborhoods such as the Golf and Country Club at Boca Royale in Englewood.

Nestled between the pristine beaches of Manasota Key and the Myakka State Forest, Boca Royale has a development history dating back to the late 1970s. Spread over 1,000 acres of mature Florida forest, this neighborhood has been developed by generations of local and national home builders; in fact, this is one of the few communities in Englewood where you can find homes completed in 2020. For many decades, Lee Wetherington and Pruett Builders were the primary developers before Arthur Rutenberg and Neal Communities started building around 2013.

The Neal Communities models are the most sought-after in Boca Royale; you can choose between golf villas and spacious single-family residences measuring up to 2,236 square feet of living space with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Quite a few of the listings coming on the market in 2020 are still covered by builder’s warranty; as previously mentioned, some are new construction deals listed for the first time.

The price points in this country club are very attractive. For less than $340K, you can move into a Neal Communities home finished earlier this year with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,842 square feet under air conditioning. The newer Boca Royale homes have features such as quartz countertops, a summer kitchen, smart home automation, and coffered ceilings. Boca Royale runs on natural gas, so your stove, dryer, water heater, and outdoor kitchen will operate even when electrical power goes out.

Most Boca Royale residents are avid golfers who enjoy the challenging course, the putting greens, driving practice section, pro shop, and clubhouse. Even you are not into golf you can still take advantage of tennis, croquet, pickle ball, and bocce ball courts. Other amenities include a swimming pool, modern fitness facility, lounge area, restaurant, lakes, and nature trails.

Living in Boca Royale allows you to be at the beach in minutes. You can get most of your shopping done at the commercial strip along Englewood Road, but you can also find more shops, restaurants, and pubs in South Venice, which is about 15 minutes away.
