First-time home buyers who plan to settle in Bradenton often start their property search at Creekwood. This community, which is located north of State Road 70 and west of I-75, is part of a very pleasant subdivision that has been under development since the 1990s.
Although Creekwood is a large neighborhood, available listings do not come on the market as fast as house hunters would like. Homeowners in this community tend to hold on to their properties for a long time, and it is easy to understand why. Home builder M/I Homes is known to develop award-winning neighborhoods around the country, and Creekwood is a good example in this regard.
There are five residential sections within Creekwood; they are separated by lakes, ponds and small sections of Florida forest that are being protected as nature preserves. Some of the sections feature single-family residences while others feature two-story townhouses. The sections that were developed in the 1990s features spacious Florida ranch-style homes while the townhouses evoke the Mediterranean revival style.
Creekwood is still undergoing development. In 2015, M/I Homes has been busy with a new section of townhouses, and this community will see two more phases of construction in 2018 and 2019. Real estate sales have been very active in recent months, particularly in terms of single-family residences with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which are being offered between $235K and $255K. Home values have quickly appreciated in this neighborhood, and they will continue to do so as the new phases are completed.
This subdivision is conveniently located next to Manatee Technical College, Braden River High School and the Creekwood Crossing Shopping Center, where residents can find everything they need to their households without having to drive too far. Creekwood is also surrounded by city parks, golf courses, kayak launches and river marinas.
