The beach itself is public, but not many visitors venture past Sharky’s because of signs indicating that this is a nesting spot for sea turtles; besides, they would have to cross a mangrove bayou. This is a prime spot for snorkelers and scuba divers to enter the water, but they cannot do so from the private access points that include gazebos with picnic tables.
Being able to enjoy spectacular Gulf of Mexico sunsets is reason enough to invest in a Golden Beach property today, but you should also consider the neighborhood’s prime location. The Tamiami Trail is close enough for a bike ride, and this is where you will find the only shopping center in Venice Island. The beachfront Brohard Paw Park for dogs is just south of the neighborhood, and the more family-friendly Caspersen Beach is about a mile away.
