Ever since residential developers in Lakewood Ranch broke ground in 1995 with Summerfield village, this master-planned development has earned the distinction of being one of the greenest communities in Florida due to the strong commitment by builders to adhere to strict sustainable development guidelines. In 2018, national home builder Lennar is ready to exceed green construction guidelines with Polo Run at Lakewood Ranch, a neighborhood that takes full advantage of solar energy.

The 500 single-family residences that Lennar is building at Polo Run have their own rooftop solar panel installation connected to the electricity grid. More than 50 percent of the electricity used by Polo Run households will come from solar panels, and any excess energy generated in the daytime will be sold to Florida Power and Light as a credit to subscribers.

Demand is expected to be very high for Polo Run homes, and not just because of their solar panels. Lennar has a strong track record of building very attractive and comfortable homes; the Princeton floor plan, for example, features an architectural style that mixes Spanish Colonial and Mediterranean design. Pricing starts under $500K in late 2024 for two-bedroom homes in the Executive line, which offer up to 3,357 square feet of living space.

As a gated community in Lakewood Ranch, Polo Run residents will be able to enjoy neighborhood amenities such as a resort-style swimming pool, clubhouse, gym, tennis and basketball courts, playground, and green areas. The Premier Sports Campus and Greenbrook Park are less than five minutes away, and a shopping district along State Road 70 is just a few miles to the west.

Prospective home buyers should keep in mind that Polo Run is located in a part of Lakewood Ranch that is expected to grow quickly in the next few years; for this reason, property values will likely appreciate starting in 2018.
