The Renaissance at Wellen Park in Venice is part of the West Villages Improvement District; in fact, when you look at the blueprints for this project, Wellen Park is referred to a “Village A,” which means that it is the flagship district of the project. In the future, the West Villages may separate into Venice and North Port sections, but for the time being Wellen Park continues to be the leading district in terms of residential and commercial development.
The vision for Renaissance began in 2014 with the integration of Mattamy Homes, Canada’s leading home builder, into the West Villages project. In this gated community, you can choose between paired villas and single-family residences starting just under $300K in August 2020. Moving into Renaissance means acquiring new homes with quality construction and still covered by builder’s warranty. Since this is a showcase community for Wellen Park and the West Villages, Mattamy Homes will spare no details in making it a great place to live. Residents and guests have access to amenities such as a swimming pool, clubhouse with modern fitness center, tennis courts, and a playground. Blue Heron Park is within walking distance, and this is where you can enjoy nature trails, picnic spots, and a dog park.
Renaissance is just two minutes away from the West Villages shopping center, which is anchored by a new Publix supermarket. CoolToday Park, the spring training home of the Atlanta Braves, is just five minutes south. The Wellen Park Town Center is still under construction, but you will soon see shops, restaurants, and other suburban comforts. Caspersen Beach is about 20 minutes away. Two major family attractions, Myakka River State Park and the Myakka State Forest, are just a short drive away.
