The blueprint for The Inlets in Bradenton, one of the most attractive boating communities in Manatee County, dates back to the 1950s.  Initial residential development was slow due to the civil engineering projects that involved dredging of canals for future homeowners; as such, many properties in this neighborhood are Florida ranch-style homes built on very spacious lots.

Developers of The Inlets envisioned a boating community that did not conform to the Florida yacht club standard.  This is a primarily residential community for families who enjoy nature, quality of life and prosperity.

Since the 1990s, development at The Inlets has divided the community into three neighborhoods.  Bella Sole is where home buyers will find maintenance-free homes ideal for seasonal residents and retirees.  The Reserve and Harbour Walk neighborhoods are for prospective buyers interested in luxurious waterfront real estate developed by renowned home builders such as Medallion Home and Arthur Rutenberg.

The Inlets is by no means a cookie-cutter neighborhood; some of the architectural styles include Florida ranches, Mediterranean estates and Key West homes.  Nearly all residences have deeded docking space; in fact, some of them face the Manatee River and can accommodate large yachts.  Pricing varies according to location and construction; for example, a Florida ranch with three bedrooms and two bathrooms located on a freshwater canal can be listed for less than $670K.  A Mediterranean estate on the banks of the Manatee River can be found listed at $3.6 million. For prospective home buyers who enjoy boating and fishing, the properties at The Inlets Bradenton are exactly what they are looking for.  Residents enjoy their own mangrove preserve, community park, fishing pier, playground, and canoe launch.  A boat can be sailing on the Manatee River in less than 15 minutes, and the nearby Braden River offers dockside dining opportunities at riverfront restaurants.

With a shopping district right on Manatee Avenue, Downtown Bradenton just minutes away and easy access to Anna Maria Island, The Inlets neighborhood is one of the best situated in Manatee County.
