Development of Seaplace dates back to the mid-1970s, but the gated community has been meticulously kept over the years through various remodelings. Moving into Seaplace means having a nice stretch of white sandy beach almost at your doorstep. Compared to other sections of Longboat Key, the beach near Seaplace does not get too many outside visitors, which means that you will mostly run into your neighbors and their guests when you walk down to the sand, something you will be able to do on a daily basis. Other activities you will be able to enjoy include swimming at two swimming pools, playing tennis at three courts, organizing picnics by the beach, relaxing at the clubhouse, or staying in shape at the fitness center. Children also have their own outdoor playground to enjoy.
Homeowner association fees at Seaplace will cover more than just structural maintenance; when you see the meticulous landscaping and groundskeeping in this neighborhood, you will realize that the reasonable quarterly fees are invested quite well. Social activities are organized by residents, and there is a mile-long walking trail within the property.
As for shopping and dining, the Shoppes at Bay Isles, which are anchored by a Greenwise Publix supermarket, are just five minutes away. A couple of cafes and restaurants are close enough for a walk, and you can always drive less than 15 minutes to Downtown Sarasota for more shopping, dining, and entertainment.
