Aqualane Estates is not a gated community, but since most of its streets come to a dead end, traffic is limited.

Phillippi Park is just a few blocks to the north, and a few cafes and casual dining eateries are located along Tamiami Trail near the Sarasota Pavilion shopping center, but the more interesting restaurants are on Siesta Key Beach, which is less than five minutes away.
