Country Place in Sarasota : Homes for Sale at Reasonable Prices

Located right next to the Red Bug Slough Preserve, just south of Proctor Road and north of Clark Road, Country Place in Sarasota is a neighborhood where home buyers can find high quality of life at very reasonable prices. Development of Country Place dates back to the 1980s, and this is reflected in the architectural design of some properties built in the Florida ranch style; however, most homes feature the Mediterranean revival look.

Country Place will appeal to families in search of homes with lots of space. Most of the Florida ranch-style properties offer three bedrooms and two full bathrooms with living spaces larger than 2,000 square feet. All homes have generous front yards and covered lanais; many of them feature swimming pools and large backyards. Homeowners in this community are known to add custom touches to their properties; for example, a $399K listing in March 2019 featured an elaborate courtyard plus, a media center and a back lounge with a fire pit.

In the current Sarasota real estate market, large homes with private swimming pools are not easy to find for less than $400k, especially if they are located just 15 minutes away from the downtown districts. Country Place is a nice exception to this rule, but listings do not come on the market as often as prospective buyers would like; this is a place where homeowners enjoy steady property valuation, and they tend to hold on to their properties.

The convenient location of Country Place in the South Gate Ridge district means that residents have easy access to shopping and entertainment options. The closest Publix supermarket is just five minutes to the north at Sarasota Village Plaza. The beaches of Siesta Key are just 15 minutes away, and they can be reached by means of the Stickney Point bridge, which does not get as much traffic as Siesta Drive.
