Vamo in Sarasota is one of those places that will immediately appeal to home buyers looking for neighborhoods with character. This former fishing village is located across from Siesta Key, north of Catfish Creek, and south of the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall; its history dates back to the 1920s, when a few families purchased sections of land originally owned by the late Bertha Palmer, real estate baroness of Southwest Florida.

This part of Sarasota does not get as much traffic as the sections closer to the downtown districts; as a result, it is very peaceful and quiet.
