Located in the Tuscana district, about a mile east of I-75, Waverley is an exclusive neighborhood of 110 luxury estates. Waverley broke ground in 2017 and opened its doors to prospective buyers in August of that year with three models. Medallion Home introduced a new home collection for Waverley; the architectural style borrows heavily from the designs you see at Caribbean resorts, but there are also some elements of the elegant Mediterranean revival style commonly seen across Sarasota. Each floor plan can be completed with a couple of elevations, including an attractive American Coastal version, which makes Waverley look diverse.
Some of the models at Waverley have already earned Parade of Homes awards; case in point is the Santa Maria, a three-bedroom and three-bathroom estate built on 2,615 square feet of living space. The larger model, the Bimini, is a palatial floor plan with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 4,814 square feet of interior. One of the original models was listed in late 2019 for $798,990, it is a four-bedroom Belize floor plan completely furnished by interior decorators. If you are looking for something more modest, right now is a good time to start building your dream home at Waverley because you may be able to select a lakefront lot and choose a private swimming pool as one of your extras.
Going into 2020, you can expect to pay about $500K for a new construction model in Waverley. This low-density section of Sarasota is very close to State Road 72 and Bee Ridge Road, where you can find many convenience stores in addition to the Publix supermarket at Bee Ridge Plaza, and there is a Walmart Supercenter on the west side of I-75. State Road 72, also known as Clark Road, will take you to family attractions such as Myakka River State Park, Livingston’s Amusement Center, Twin Lakes Park, and Siesta Key Beach.
